IsoBuster 0.99.5 Beta 2
Features :
------------------------
As promissed :

1) Full Win2K support.
Furthermore, under WinNT (4 or 2K), two ways of communication are possible.
Through the NT native SPTI layer or through Aspi.
In other words, under NT, an Aspi layer is not longer a requirement (It's an option, and the user can switch between layers while IsoBuster is running). There's a limitation however (Microsoft did it again) : Under Win2K you need to be Administrator to be able to use the SPTI layer. A Win2K normal User (Not administrator) still needs aspi.
Many thanks to Frank Wolf (CDR Identifier) who helped me find my way in the poorly documented SPTI interface !

2) Track and Image extracting (few options)
Still Limited support, but CDTV CD owners will like the fact that they now can extract mpg from the video track (when no record from the file-system points to the mpg file).
Remarks :
- When extracting fails on the last one or two blocks of a track on CD-R, don't be alarmed. These blocks are most likely run out blocks and don't contain data.
- When you try to extract the image of a multi-session CD, most likely you will encounter errors too. Most CD-ROM drives don't alllow reading in lead-in and lead-out.
- Extract Raw (track or image) and you end up with a *.bin, *.iso format.
- Extract User data and you'll end up (in most cases, not 100%) with the *.tao format.
- Extract an audio track raw and you'll have the same format as a wave file. Just the wave-file header is missing (One of my action points)

Few running changes/fixes :

3) Previous beta didn't show amount of folders correctly
4) A Mac icon is showed when a Mac ISO file-system is found and associated files (not shown by Dos or Windows) are marked with a Mac icon as well.
5) In case of a Prassi image, the block size is checked by a 'smart routine' rather than to rely on values in the headers which sometimes seem to be wrong.

Newly introduced (needed a new little feature to keep coding interesting ;-)

6) Play Audio of Audio tracks
No Play / Pause / Resume buttons yet ;-)
Once playing the track, you need to let it play, or read to the CD to interrupt or use Media Player to stop ;-)

Following Betas will feature :
------------------------------
- Re-coded image-session-track functionality (read toc, RDI, RTI, ...).
The current one is messy because of compulsive need to support CD-i (Need to think it over again).

- Need to think about image and track extracting features too ...
(no need to invent the wheel a second time, there's excellent soft available).
(maybe some more filters to other images ...)

- More options (Set CD Speed, ...) ...

Help :
------
This is a thorougly tested beta but I can imagine you notice something I didn't.
(yes I know, Extract From-To doesn't do anything yet ;-)
Please let me know or even any kind of feedback is welcome.
Also feedback about SPTI <-> Aspi. No problems ?
I heard that Aspi sometimes doesn't find all drives (e.g. in case of SCSI and IDE in an NT system) ??
Are the drive-letters always correct under NT (in case of Aspi) ?

Following is still true :-)
Unfortunately I have very little time these days.
Work tends to take up a lot of my time.
Hopefully this relaxes in the upcoming weeks so that I can start developing again ;-)

Have Fun,
